Purikura

There's a new purikura store open in Ko-mart.
A bit expensive, $10 per pic -_- but we managed to go there 3 times heuhuee...
And we can decorate the purikura.
Actually we're waiting for the black machine but it hasn't been on. Oh well..

Silent Library

Thanks to Gletwin who ruined my work day. Spent a few hours watching these videos at work...huehuhehuehe....

I only put 1 video here, but you could search it under "silent library" or "Japanese game shows".
Oh, the human tetris was funny too. Just search it under "human tetris" on youtube.

I was laughing (without sounds, of course =p) while watching one of the videos and then my boss went pass by me and actually looked at me.
I turned my head down and started to cough.... huehuehuhuee....
Caught me off guard there... ^____^

Effective on March 18, 2008, Adam Air (finally!) loses its operating rights.

After many (negative) cases, the government finally revoked their rights to operate their planes.

Well, it's about time I say....

Agustinus Wibowo

Meet Agustinus Wibowo.

Got his website, http://www.avgustin.net/home.php from Jalansutra mailing list that I've joined for some time now.

He's an Indonesian who's been backpacking throughout Central Asia since 2005.
He was a student in Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
He first started his backpacking journey by accompanying his friend to Mongol.
After that first trip, he simply couldn't resist to go on another journey.
That lead him to India, Afghanistan, Iran, and some other countries that I have not even heard of.. hehe..

For more detail, please check his journal out.
Also, his journal will be published regularly (I think) in kompas under travel - petualang.
Some of his works are also published in some magazines (China National Geographic for one).
And he's about my age!!! *Makes me wonder what I have achieved in my young age ^^*

I've been reading his journal since the beginning of his journey at work...hehehhee.. I couldn't stop reading it. ^____^
I haven't finished reading it. There're just so many of them and before I knew it, it was time to go home huehuehuhee.. -- FYI, I did work, I wasn't just browsing on the internet.. =p

It just amazed me.
I can't imagine if I have to go through all that he has been going through all these years.

And here I was planning to go backpacking around Europe... >______>

Just simply could not compare.....*shaking my head*

Springtime

Spring is definitely here.....

Even if it snowed monday and might be snowing again tomorrow....

Snow in March.... Amazing!!

My New Toy

Bought a polaroid camera a couple of weeks ago... It wasn't as expensive as I thought. I bought it for $40 at target.

I love it! It's so much fun to take pictures and get them in print right away.

Too bad the film is expensive... 1 box = 10 films (not a whole lot, isn't it?) is $15 and 1 set of 2 boxes = 20 films is $25.

Hiixx.. I want to take lots of pic but then thinking of the money that I have to spend to buy the films. >_______<

Just bought some lomo cameras (4 actions, fisheye, and standard lomo)... can't wait for them to arrive...

Yet Another Farewell

Went to a farewell party last Saturday.
My Japanese friend, Tatsu is going back to Japan for good. He's going to take over his dad's business.

We had the party at Namoo, Korean restaurant. We reserved a private room. There was about 15 people there, mostly of course Japanese, 1 Puerto Rican (she's a Jap gal's roommate and got tagged along with her), 2 Americans (caucasians, in case you're wondering), and me the only Indonesian there coz my friend couldn't make it.
One American was the boyfriend of Taka-chan and the other was somebody's (couldn't remember the name but she's Japanese ^^) husband and Kenzo's boss, Tom.

We actually met not too long ago... a few months ago during bar hopping at lower greenville huehuhehe..

Anyway, we had so many foods, Korean BBQ, different kinds of soups, topoki, some spicy fish, raw oysters, etc. Forgot to bring my camera, I couldn't believe that I actually left my camera at home!!

We each had to give a farewell speech. I didn't know what to say coz I only met him not too long ago and I only saw him occasionally during parties or something.
Anyway, I did my part, the sojus help alot huehuheuhe..

Oh my goodness, these Japs can really drink their way out.
They kept pouring soju and beers. I drank only soju, been curious on how it tastes for quite a while. I had yogurt soju before but I never had the straight soju. Btw yogurt soju tastes great!
Oh, they had lemon soju too, not that good.

I actually felt quite dizzy when I got home, coz they kept pouring soju for me and drank them in shots.... ^.^!

Oh yea, I met Keiji there too, his wife is a hairdresser, but she's in Japan right now and will be back later this month. Awesome! I have been wanting to try out a Jap hairdresser. So, I'll be calling him later heuhuehuhee...
He's an Okinawan guy and whenever Tatsu poured drinks for him, he was like noo and everybody was like, oh don't worry he's Okinawan (btw is this even a word, Okinawan? hehe), he can drink! wakkakakak...

Tatsu was so wasted that night, couldn't even stand up and walk huehuhee.. but still.. they went to karaoke after dinner, of course with Tatsu along.
He's been shouting and talking nonsense and at the end he kept saying "Let's go to karaoke!".

There was a time when he was saying something to the Puerto Rican gal (Lisa) and then suddenly he said that Japan lost at WWII to Lisa!!!
Taka-chan and I were looking at each other and were like, what's he talking about? World war II?!? wakakakkaka... he's so fucked up... Didn't even know what he's saying anymore.

Tom said "you are witnessing the English version of Japanese something" (I didn't hear him that clear since he sat 3 seats away from me) I think what he meant was that we are witnessing the Japanese version of drunkness..hehehe..

Btw, Tom could speak Japanese fluently, and I mean fluently with the slanks and all that. He spent about 6 years there. I am sooooo jealous of him.

When they talk Japanese, and they do it so often, he can understand everything.
Also, when they did the speech, some ppl mixed it with Japanese and I had to keep asking what it means. So annoying.
I only know some words, all the things that I learned in that Jap class was gone like the wind heuhuehuhe...

Before I forget, I just found out that they have this tradition whenever they are ending a party or whatever to show that the party is now finished.
We went to form a circle and then when a person said, err... don't know what he said actually coz it was in Japanese hehe..
When that person said something, everybody clapped their hands once only.
Didn't know that before, they didn't show that in the movies hehe.

Oh well...

Anyway, it's yet another farewell... Another friend goes and another will come.... It's the cycle.

I wish him the best in his new business and lastly.....
YES! I finally have a friend living in Japan whom I can come and visit and be my guide!! hohhohohoho...

WOOHOOO!!

*****Clapped my hands once*****

Gletwin told me this website where we could watch Indonesian TV channels, minus the TVRI though huehuheue..

http://www.imediabiz.tv/

Been watching the channels since yesterday.
Been laughing a lot with my roommate and sis over the gossip shows and the soap opera..... so silly and so many gossip shows!
And soooooo many new actresses that I don't know. *Well, duh! They're new, Jess...^.^!*

The only problem is that the screen is way too small.... but hey, I'm not complaining...grateful enough that I can watch Indonesian TVs...hehe

Oh well, I'm going back to watch my movie, Bump Off Lover.
Dang it AZNV, hurry upload the rest of the episodes!!! 2 more to go.
I've been watching it really, really slow coz I know it's not over yet, but now, I'm at epi 12!!!! Don't put me in suspense any longer...

Quit Running Reruns!!

Hollywood pleaseeeeee!!!

Just give whatever the writers want.
It's so freaking tiring to see all the reruns over and over again!!

There's nothing good to watch on TV anymore.
I don't want to watch those stupid reality TV every single freaking day. Well, I do have to admit that I watch some reality shows. Project Runway, Dancing with the Stars, and Make Me a Supermodel lately coz Perry is soooo freaking HOT! I hope he wins... *^g^*

Pleaseeee run NEW shows.

*sigh*

Luckily, there are Asians drama out there to save me from having to see all those reruns......

Huehuehuhe emang gue jarang ntn tipi jg sih, tapi belakangan aja neh sering ntn tipi, tapi gak ada yg bagus...HUH!

***waiting for the new Gossip Girl to be back on***

Suharto

Pengobatan Gratis...

Bingung gue, kenapa harus negara yg bayarin pengobatan dia??
Kenapa gak suruh dia bayar sendiri aja? Duitnya udah segunung gitu, mending duit negara pake buat yg laen aja.
Emang sih dia gak minta digantiin duitnya, trus kenapa pemerintah sok mau gantiin duit segala??

Bener2 gak abis pikir gue.... Indo... Indo...

Suharto gak korupsi dan bukan diktator.

Ini lagi 1 pernyataan bodoh yg gak pake otak!

Dukun

Hare genee.... masih percaya apa kata dukun! Udah taon 2008 oi!
