Another One Collapsed!

Just after a week or so after Lehman collapsed and AIG was bailed out, and now WaMu was closed by the government today! Just read the news a minute ago.

Dang! was thinking of buying some of WaMu's stock since Citibank and several others, including JP Morgan who bought it, were looking into bidding for WaMu.
WoW! Luckily, I was only thinking of buying it and actually buy it... huehuheue.. Who knows this would happened now. I don't wanna be my friend's friend who blew 20k over Lehman stocks...=S
Boggles your mind, ain't it?! I actually thought that since several banks were looking to bid for it, the stock will go up, like in some other cases.. ^__^

This morning, or rather yesterday in Asia's time, people in Hong Kong were lining up at Bank of East Asia to withdraw their money after rumors went around. At the end, people were calmer since HK business tycoon Li Ka-Shing bought its shares. Read it here.

We are in (not going into anymore, mind you) recession now. And you could actually see it all over the place. People are getting laid off. Speaking of lay offs, GE in Seattle (not too sure about other GE, but they are losing money according to the news) just laid off some people and my uncle is one of them =(; Deloitte Dallas laid off some in their accounting dept not too long ago; Alcatel also laid off some people a while back (a friend of mine was one of the people who took the voluntary package they offered, her job is sent to Mexico now =S).
And there's talk about HP wanting to cut over 24,000 jobs. *sigh*

IMHO, we don't really feel the recession in Dallas as much as other cities in other states. Sure gas prices are increasing (it increased again after down for about 50 cents/gallon) and there's shortage in some area in here, but that's due to hurricane Ike. News broadcasted that beware of your fuel tanks and to let it as full as you possibly can do.

That reminds me I need to fill up my gas tomorrow hehehe..

Anyways, it's getting hard to get a job, getting hard to buy a house and get a mortgage (it's ridiculously hard to get a mortgage nowadays...gosh talked about being anxious of bad creditors.. why weren't they being anxious BEFORE all this crap happens? And they said that those people are genius...=S), getting very anxious and unsure of what's coming next....

Now, what I need to do is, suppress my shopaholic illness ^__^, stop eating out too much, and save all my money!!

Oohh I need to buy that huge piggy bank like the one I saw in We Got Married.

Oh no! stop it! Can't buy it, it's wasting money... but... but... but.. I need some place to put my money right? If I put it in the bank, I'll just keep taking it out... and then I won't have money saved.
Excuses...excuses...excuses.... what a shopaholic! lol..

Seriously, I'm on my resolution to save more money hohohohoh...

Well then, good luck to me!

Yogurtland

I had noticed this store before but I kept forgetting to check it out whenever I went grocery shopping at H-Mart (new korean mart, it's hugeeee!).
Then, while Priscil was checking out Soompi, she mentioned a review for Yogurtland. So, last weekend we checked it out and tried the yogurt. I think they just opened since there's a grand opening sign outside...

Hmm.. so when I noticed it, it wasn't opened yet??

Yogurtland is a self-serve yogurt place.

You go in line to get any kind of flavored yogurt you want, then go to the toppings section and put on as many toppings as you want, and then pay.

Price is by the ounces. It is 30 cents per ounce.

I had coffee (or cafe latte? whichever), pistachio, and blueberry yogurt. For toppings, I had watermelon (haha I know it's weird, but I thought might as well try it - yogurt with watermelon ;p), blueberry, melon, strawberry, almonds, peanuts.

I like all mine. Blueberry is soury, so if you don't like sour like Priscil, you probably won't like it.

Priscil had strawberry (which I don't like), green tea, and cheesecake yogurt. I don't remember what toppings she had.

They provide fruits and other things for toppings (several kinds of cereal, granola, choco chips, peanuts, walnuts, almonds, etc... don't remember all of them).

Aarggghhh!!

Just got back from lunch...
Went to eat bulgogi bibimbap.. yumm..

Afterwards, I felt like drinking bubble tea. So, I went to Lollicup. When I got there, it was closed due to renovation.
Err.. okay, I thought, should I go back to the office or go to another place (2 min away from there).
Well, might as well go there since I'm here anyway.

So, off to another place.....
Bought my pearl thai tea.... and then.... shit happened!

AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

My pearl thai tea fell right there in front of my car's door, right before I stepped in the car!!!!

So pissed off right now...

Keep thinking, yea maybe I can't drink it anyway, go on a diet!! It's fattening anyway... ahhaha..

Told my friend about it and his response was:

G: huahuahuhauhauhuahuhauauhaahua
G: HAAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
G: guobloookk... makanya gak nasibnya minum boba, biar kuruuss...

Sialan!
